In Arabic :

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ وَلا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرَفَةَ عَيْنٍ

Transliteration:

Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, birahmatika astaghitsu, aslih li sha’ni kullahu, wa la takilni ila nafsi tarfata ‘aini

Meaning :

I ask for assistance through Your Mercy, O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting. Make everything perfect in my life, and don’t even give me a moment of privacy.

Dua for Life’s Success

In Arabic: 

اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مُفْلِحِينَ

Transliteration:

Allahumma-ja’alna muflihin

Meaning :

“O Allah, grant us success among these people.”

Dua for Success in Life and Hereafter

In Arabic:

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Transliteration:

Rabbana atina fid dunya hasanatan wa fil Aakhirati hasanatan waqina ‘azab an-nar

Meaning:

“Give us good things in this world and good things in the Hereafter, Our Lord, and keep us safe from the punishment of the Fire.”

Second Dua for Life Success

In Arabic:

Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja’altahu sahla, wa anta taj’alul-hazna iza syi’ta sahla.

Transliteration:

اللهُمَّ لاَ سَهْلَ إِلَا مَا جَعَلْتَهَ سَهْلاً، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلاً

Meaning:

O Allah, the only easy things are those that You have made simple; if you choose, You can also make difficulties easy.

In Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً

Transliteration:

Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan

Meaning:

“Oh, Allah! I pray You will provide me wisdom, provide me a good deed, and accept my deeds.

In Arabic:

رَبِّي اِشْرَحْلِي صَدْرِي وَ يَسِّرْلِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

Transliteration:

Rabbi-isyrahli sadri, wa yassir li amri, wahlul ‘uqdatam-min lisaani yafqahu qawli

Meaning:

“Our Lord!” Help me do my job and make my heart feel better. And take the thing that’s blocking my mouth off so they can understand me.”

Dua for Victory

In Arabic: 

رَبِّ أَعِنِّي وَلَا تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ، وَانْصُرْنِي وَلَا تَنْصُرْ عَلَيَّ، وَامْكُرْ لِي وَلَا تَمْكُرْ عَلَيَّ، وَاهْدِنِي وَيَسِّرِ الهُدَى إِلَيَّ، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ بَغَى عَلَيَ

Transliteration:

Rabbi a’inni wa-la tu’in ‘alayya, wa-nsurni wa-la tansur ‘alayya, wa-mkur-li wa-la tamkur alayya, wa-hdini wa-yassir-il-huda ilayya, wa-nsurni ‘ala man bagha ‘alayya

Meaning:

“My Lord, help me and don’t help those who are trying to hurt me; Give me victory, but don’t give it to someone else; Make plans for me and don’t make plans against me; guide me and make it easy for me to follow the right path; give me power over those who hurt me;”

Dua for A Happy and Prosperous Marriage

In Arabic:

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْواجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةً أَعْيُنِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا للْمُتَّقِينَ إمَامَا

Transliteration:

Rabbana hablana min azwajina wa zurriyatina qurrota ‘ayunina waj’alna lil muttaqina imama.

Meaning:

“Lord! Please provide us with husbands and children who will delight us and serve as role models for the morally upright. [Quran 25:74]

Dua for Successful Pregnancy

In Arabic:

رَبّي هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَة إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاء

Transliteration:

Rabbi habli milladunka zurriyatan toyyibatan innaka sami ud-dua’

Meaning:

“My Lord, give me a good child from Yourself.” Indeed, you are the One who hears prayers. 3:38 in the Quran.

 Dua For The Success of Children

In Arabic:

رَبّي هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَة إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاء

Transliteration:

Rabbi habli milladunka zurriyatan toyyibatan innaka sami ud-dua’

Meaning:

“My Lord, give me a good child from Yourself.” Indeed, you are the One who hears prayers. (Surah Ali-Imran, 3:38)

Dua for Memory and Exam Success

In Arabic:

اللّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَودِعُكَ مَا قَرَأتُ وَمَا حَفِظْتُ وَمَا تَعَلَّمْتُ فَرْدُدْه لِي إِلَيَّ عِنْدَ حَاجَتِي إِلَيْهِ ، إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِير وَحَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الوَكِيل

Transliteration:

Allahumma inni astaudi’uka ma qara’tu wa ma hafiztu wa ma ta’allamtu, fardudhu li ilayya ‘inda haajati, innaka ‘ala kulli syai-in qadir, wa hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakil.

Meaning:

“Oh, God! You have my complete attention on what I have read, learned, and studied. Give it back to me when I need it. You do have control over everything. Allah is enough for us, and He is the best one to handle things.

 Dua for Knowledge and Prosperity In The Hereafter

In Arabic: 

رَبِّي هَبْ لِي حُكْماً و أَلحِقْني بِالصَّالِحِينَ، وَاجْعَل لِِّي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الآخِرِينَ، وَ اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيم

Transliteration:

Rabbi habli hukman wa al-hiqni bis salihin, waj-’al li lisana sidqin fil-aakhirin, waj-’alni min waratha-ti jannatin-naa’im.

Meaning:

Oh, Lord! Give me insight, and count me among the virtuous. Please grant me recognition in the future and include me among the Garden of Bliss’ inheritors.  (Al-Shurah, Surah 26:83–85)

 Dua for Forgiveness, Mercy, and Prosperity in The Hereafter

In Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مُوجِباتِ رحْمتِكَ، وَعزَائمَ مغفِرتِكَ، والسَّلامَةَ مِن كُلِّ إِثمٍ، والغَنِيمَةَ مِن كُلِّ بِرٍ، وَالفَوْزَ بالجَنَّةِ، وَالنَّجاةَ مِنَ النَّارِ

Transliteration:

Allahumma inni as-aluka mujbati rahmatik, wa-’aza-ima maghfiratik, wassalamata min kulli ithm, wal-ghanimata min kulli birr, wal-fauza bil-jannati, wan-najati minannar.

Meaning:

“Oh Allah. I beg You for the things that make You merciful and the ways that You forgive, for protection from all sins, for the benefits of all good deeds, for success in reaching Jannah, and for safety from fire. (Mustadrak Al-Hakim)

 Dua For Success in This World and The Hereafter 

In Arabic:

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Transliteration:

Rabbana atina fiddunia hasanatan wa fil aakhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘azabannar.

Meaning:

“Our Lord, give us good things in this world and the next, and keep us safe from the terrible punishment of the Fire.” (Surah Al-Baqarah: 201)

Dua for Halal Blessings

In Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

Transliteration: 

Allahumma kfini bihalalika ‘an haramika wa aghnini bifadlika amman siwaka.

Meaning:

“O Allah, give me Your lawful against Your forbidden and set me free from everyone else besides You.”

This dua makes a statement by asking God for what is halal over what is haram (prohibited) and asking us not to rely on anybody but our Lord.

 Dua for Guidance

In Arabic:

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Transliteration: 

Ihdinas-siratal-mustaqim

Meaning:

“Guide us on the Straight Path.”

This dua is from Surah Al-Fatiha, which is the prayer we say throughout every Salah. In this, we ask Allah to guide us on the straight road of those who believe, and later in the Surah, we pray to Allah not to be one of those who are led astray.
